Manvells Farm Lake. Walgrave (Part1 - The Arrival)

On saturday me and my fishing partner (aka Ace) made the short leap over to Walgrave in Northampton to visit a miniscule lake we had heard rumours about!

"a tiny farm lake with carp to 36lb?" was the rumour, "this is something i have to see" my response.

On the face of it Manvell's is far to small to hide that size of fish, but pearing through the wardens hut soon put my doubts to rest, the pics showing pristine carp to over 30lb were there for all to see. And so we began shipping the richard (gear) out the car!

After a lap (around 30 seconds) we decided to pitch up in what the cafe owner called "the spot where noone fishes because of too many snags" perfect we thought!
