Walgrave Part 2 (Contemplation and T-Rex)

October 20 2009

After a carfeully quiet baiting up with or standard mix of crushed boilie, tigers, hemp, pellets and our secret additives we slowly placed our heaths (ledgers) precisely over the desired area, we sat confident of some early action.

2 hours passed with little more than a goldfish flaunting around over our baited spot! Though through observation we could clearly see clouds and obvious fish movement around the baited spot...so we waited it out in hope.

A couple more hours passed by and while the T-Rex like birdlife at Manvells Farm Fishing were entertaining us enormously through their constant child like advances towards our bait buckets, there was still no movement!!!

A change of plan was a must, with my freshly tied Ussain Bolt Rig ready with a pink flouro, surrounded by a tight bag of white amber boilies i casullay flicked under-arm around a rod length or two off the baited area keen to see some movement we watched anxiously.

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep went my buzzer after perhaps an hour in the lake, though it swiftly stopped, the dreaded 4 beeper had done me again!! This was quickly followed by another short run that was picked up by my old hands to quickly and so was missed.
